hey, posting from london. everything's fine except that i can't really understand the caucasian's accent and i don't suppose they understand me that well....which is totally terrible! i'm trying hard to make more friends and interact with them = make small talk, with a glass of alcohol in my hand.

culture differences certainly exist. like i was stir frying veggie and a guy saw it, and he was like, you are frying salad?! but it's just amazing that my hall has all kinds of people of all kinds of nationality. on my level, there are rep from scotland, panama, sweden, west midlands, holland and of course, me from sg. seems like none has been repeated.

This is Sara posting from Berkeley, California. I miss home, I miss Singapore, I miss hwachong, I miss 60, I miss class benches, I miss the caifan stall, I miss mrs chong, I miss the teachers, the camaraderie, the class discussions, even lining up in the morning to sing the horrible college school song. I'm glad I treasured my time in jc while I could.

Life is good here in the east bay, weather is as great as most people say it is. (well, Singapore's humidity is one thing I could do without) I've been getting used to eat sandwiches, salads and bagels for most meals. Schoolwork... was a lot tougher during the A's but I think it's just my first sem that's relatively easy.

Hope everyone is doing well! I miss yall D:
