here's a tentative proposal for the class picnic on SUNDAY (2 April - yes, damnit, no april's fool jokes) - since i feel partially responsible for coming up with this

Before anything else, this class picnic is an attempt at 'formalizing' the initiation of our new memebers- Sara, Xinxue, Gaby, Yi-An, and Colin - yes, we're throwing a party in your honour! (translation, please turn up, because this is all for YOU)
this invitation is also extended to Zhao Rui, Cheryl, Billy, Da Chuan and Rachel - come come come. this is going to be better than the class bench, i promise.
EVENT: class potluck picnic
VENUE: Botanic Gardens (the back part) (i'll think of a wet weather plan)
TIME: 3pm onwards

1. The Parents-Teachers-Meeting Consent Form thingy is due Tuesday, 4th April. However, it would be good if you could all hand in the form to Wai Hong asap, in case you forget to pack it in on Mon night.
2. Hwa Chong Sports Meet. Please sign up for the events ASAP! The form is with Chris, I think. And people, PLS SIGN UP FOR EVENTS!!! Cos I think there's points for the class for participation alone. Each person can sign up for max THREE events, excluding CCA relay run. So do sign up! :) Don't say "I'm not fast enough". Just join for the fun of it and try, ya? Especially the Inter-CT relays!!! :) Must wei4 ban1 zheng1 guang1! No la, just make sure our class is represented and not the VERY last can already.
3. Council Elections tomorrow, Friday 8 to 11 am. No lessons for the first half, then we have a break I think, before lessons continue after break. Yay.

Hey pple, totally agree with siew ching bcos ms tay is totally irritated tt we r not doing tutorials, n either dead during her lessons cos we stone(or rox, haha) too much, or we r too noisy during her lessons. yes, ms tay is not our permanent tcher, bt we do nd to show her some basic respect. so everyone pls pls pls do ur tutorials from now on!!! Cos they r really important! So be enthu abt chem tutorials! Or else, u would be doing a great unfavour to ur other clsmates who have done their tutorials, bt ms tay doesnt want to go through cos many havent done theirs. So, always do chem tutorials!!! Chem MUST have top priority!!!

hi everyone, i just thought i would say something about math lessons, in the capacity of a maths rep. i mean, i fully understand that we are a cheery and bubbly class, and also eager to learn at the same time. however, i think we should try to keep our volume down during math tutorials and let tbb do the talking.
because:
- if you don't understand certain questions, all the more you should try to listen to her. and if the others are making noise, it kind of impedes your listening right? and so it's like a vicious cycle. you don't understand, you discuss (most of the time, with classmates who also don't understand) and make noise, and can't hear what dear tbb is saying. all the more you don't understand, and you'll make more noise and nothing gets through. RESULT: you STILL don't understand.
-if you DO understand, maybe it's just basic respect you can accord to the speaker - to listen. or tell her to move on. however, it's only possible to move on if everyone understands. so as a good 60 class, i'm sure everyone wants to learn and progress together (gong4 tong2 jin4 tui4) and hence, :D use your silence to bring about greater happiness.
- and then, maybe tbb's threshold for noise is high, but who knows, beneath her benign appearance, she might be casting some 60 voodoo doll because she really hates us for making her lesson so difficult. if that's the case, to protect our feng shui for us and the future generations of 60ians, WE MUST...

I will try to promote a love for swimming in the class!!! Swimming rocks! Swimming is cool! The swimming pool waters are so nice, blue, cooling, calming, sensual, soothing, energising, refreshing, invigorating and rejuvenating! SO. JUMP INTO THE POOL! Whether you're in your swimming suit or wearing your uniform, JUST JUMP IN. Or I'll push you in!
OK no no I didn't take drugs. Though I just had an overdose of tofu + milk + yoghurt + broccoli + lots of fruits ;) LOL.

picnic has to be enjoyed.. make it sometime not too hot, yet early enough tt we wont hafta rush. oh! i was reading abt the cherry blossom season in japan! then when the blossoms are in bloom for a few days, the ppl would bring out their mats and have picnics under the trees. beautiful! with petals falling all over them haha.
oh and this is being planned for 2 april right? we can also celebrate billy's birthday (one day early)

To everyone who takes chem, please study ur vespr theory, just vsepr, no nd the whole chemical bonding chapter. According to ms tay, we will be very sorry if we dont study it!!! (I asked if it was a quiz or test, and she said, no need to take everything so seriously, so she's not telling!!) And i think there is no lab on monday, go to LT5 for chem lesson. Ya, and please be reminded to hand in $10 to me by monday for future chem notes etc. Btw, i bought photocopying card for ms tay, so i'm supposed to get back 20cents each from everyone. (Haha, seems like a small amt, but its significant portion of my pocket money when u add it up, and i m already offering 2 cents discount to everyone, haha.)
Lol, it seems that all unpleasant announcements about money comes at the same time. (Note: mine and geordie's post on Thurs were at exactly 8.52pm, haha)

On other matters, I think we should not abuse Mr Loi's seemingly infinite kindness. Sometimes i think he might just be controlling himself ie. when we misbehave very obviously during his lessons. It is possible that we may one day drive him to breaking point.
I am very guilty of both counts. I hope that we can uh.. work together to alleviate the above.

Meet on Thursday, 11.45pm at Tampines MRT Station.
1. We'll have lunch at foodcourt of Tampines Mall till 12.30pm, then go shopping at NTUC for food till around 2pm! it's advisable for everyone to come down for class lunch and shop for food together, then at least you get the food you want and we won't end up with an overdose of tofu hehehehe ;)
2. for those who really have something on in the morning and can't make it earlier, meet us at Tampines Bus Interchange at 2pm. We'll take Bus 29 from the Interchange, it'll bring us straight to Aloha Changi.
3. we'll drop the luggage and stuff at Halton Bungalow D and I'll go with some people to check in at 3.30pm.
4. pack stuff, explore the bungalow. seeing that it'll most prob be extremely hot and sunny, we'll play a newly invented DDR-version-of-Truth or Dare! Hehe, very fun one. everyone will get a turn at it. and the point of it is to fail DDR so that you can play Truth or Dare ;)
5. We'll walk to the beach and play beach captain's ball / beach soccer from around 5.30 to 6.30, then watch the sunset! :) before heading back to prepare for BBQ.
6. BBQ!!! Pauline's overall-in-charge. I think. But everybody can try your hand at barbequeing! :)
7. we'll finish clearing up by 9pm. Then we'll either play DDR Truth or Dare again, or watch a movie. But there may not be any VCD/ DVD players at the bungalow, most probably. Till 10plus.
8. free time. Bathe / play cards / play mahjong. Sleep anytime you want. But you've got to wake up early the next day.

yeah i agree we shld set up a mugger's club, considereing promos is less than 20 weeks ago( quoting steve's fav. tacher TBB ) and i want to be exclusive premium member of this club.

If you want BBQ, we've to go shopping for groceries earlier...Anyway, let's meet at Changi Point Bus Terminal on Thursday yes? I've so many things to say...
firstly, I also want to apologise for being mean to Da Chuan, i'm guilty too. I've judged you and treated you unfairly, and I'm really sorry for that. I've changed my opinions of you greatly, I respect what you did for the class, and I thank you for not bearing a grudge against me for being so mean to you. I know I'm in the wrong, but I realise too that I can't suddenly change my behaviour towards you drastically though I really really don't dislike you, but I'll try, I really will.
Secondly, on the class. Our class is not perfect and no class will ever be perfect. But what matters is that we must try to make it a place where everyone wants to be. Everyone makes mistakes now and then, what really matters is learning from mistakes and moving on from there, forgiving people for the mistakes they make, and giving them chances to make amends. There are cliques in the class undeniably, but as long as people in the cliques make an effort to interact with others not in the cliques and not exclude people from joining in, there can still be cohesion and harmony. :) Our dear 60 senior Tai An from many batches ago wants to add that: COMMUNICATION is very important in minimising conflict / tension buildup, and in achieving greater understanding of each other. Therefore if you think someone has done something unacceptable, or is not doing his/her job well, tell that person where and why has he / she done wrong, and how to improve, either in a tactful / non-offensive way or ask someone else neutral to say so if you can't control your emotions well enough.
Thirdly, to the huang cheng people: Great job! You guys spent really much time and effort putting up the show, bet you must be really exhausted by now, so enjoy your well-deserved break! :)

whee! Back home after working out at the Gym at the new CSC Clubhouse at Bkt Batok! So fun! Tried a very interesting machine where you stand and pedal so it's halfway between walking and running. But it's more tiring than treadmill! And tried this very exhausting but interesting machine where you do abdominal crunches. Anyone wanna come work out with me during the March hols? Hey everybody who can should come! Practise for NAPFA hehe. (for girls: p.s. the trainer's cute! :P well at least today's trainer was.)

I booked the bungalow and paid for it online already, so it's confirmed, but it's $166 per night, not $75 per night, cos the person at Aloha said Health Sciences Authority is a Statutory Board not a Ministry so my mom can't enjoy the discounts conferred to "direct civil servants". stupid la. Anyway it's still cheaper than $230.
And Bryan, yes, there's DEFINITELY enough space for all to sleep, though I doubt everyone will want to sleep. many will just play mahjong or something. There's TWO storeys, THREE bedrooms (1 bedroom with Queen-size bed, the other 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds each), but the rooms are quite big and air-conditioned so we can just squeeze in with sleeping bags if you wanna sleep.

Hey people, sorry, I found out I haven't booked the Aranda Country Club chalet yet; I only registered. But the good news is, I've been to check out the Aloha resorts website, and I found that there're still 2 bungalows available for booking! Here's the description:
ALOHA CHANGI : Halton Bungalows C and D
General Information: The semi-detached double-storey chalets are fully furbished with living room set with TV and games table;dining room; 3 air-conditioned bedrooms, furbished with beds (1 queen-sized and 4 single-sized), wardrobe, dresser, bedside table and wall fan; 4 toilets /bath with shower heater; BBQ pit and a fully equipped kitchen
Can accomodate 25 people comfortably during the day.
And the best part is, it's only S$75 for one night! (that's the Civil Servant rate. thank goodness my mom's a Civil Servant. The public rate's at $166)
Which means, you guys can get your $5 chalet fee back! Or maybe get $4 back if we keep $1 each for food haha. We'll just use the previous class fund money. Either way our class fund will be MUCH richer.

Jin Quan says he had a class chalet there before and it's a very nice place, tranquil and quiet. But if you don't like the quiet we can make the noise ourselves. And it's near the sea so we can go watch the sunset and sunrise there! I've heard the sunsets / sunrises at Changi. So exciting! And we can go FLY KITES hahaha! And I'll bring my DDR mat (maybe la) and someone can bring Playstation (2 or above) and we can all try DDR! :D Whee!
Best part: You can try my cooking!! Hehe. If it really causes mass food poisoning, we can just depend on Pauline's BBQ-ing skills or order pizza and I can go eat the food I cooked. haha.

today's physics lesson...i don't know if you guys still think about it but i just hope that misunderstandings that need to be cleared are cleared..behaviour and attitude that needs to be changed/improved, changed and improved. (argh ok is this considered tactless? =/)
in the past 2 months and 9 days we didn't really have a situation which tests the class.. 60! we really must bond together (like that super strong glue zi chong bought for our physics project, it glues fingers to the table!)

my greatest regret in leaving is that i'm not able to know more of you better. can see that lots of pp in 60 are really nice pp, and i find it super regrettable that i did not make an effort to mingle ard u guys more. try not to make the same mistake; since u've a chance to stay with the class, make an effort to know the really nice pp in other 'cliques'. :)

haha feeling very unqualified to post really, not being there, nor feeling the stress, nor even knowing what's really happening.
but i'd just like to point out tt in 02, 03, 04 or 05, people displaced by class tectonics or even graduation heh, don't go away and stay away :) and often these people would treasure six-oh even more.
so to those who stay on, do treasure them like they do to you.
the number 60 has always been a facade, our rally flag, or even an emotional anchorpoint perhaps.
but what really mattered is the people in it, the friendships that are forged, and the fond memories made; all these that'll be ingrained into you and your lives.
to those who stay on, congrats! i'm glad that this has been a relatively small change, much of the class seemed intact :)
but to the five where this small change mattered, billy cheryl dachuan rachel zhaorui, you all have been, still is and always will be part of six-oh :)
whats cll and stp? haha. hope you two have a good time with ur new combis! ^^

i think it was really brave, nice and everything of da chuan to volunteer. i didn't see the actual process, neither have i been through his struggle prior to his decision. but i can imagine how difficult it was, to move out of a comfort zone, leaving to make way for happiness that would belong to others. or maybe the class doesn't really matter to him, some would think.
(i just want to say something that probably has been on everyone's mind, but never dared to say it out explicitly)
what we have seen from this episode is not simply the virtue in a person. but how many in the class has never tried to make everyone feel like a part of s60. i dare to say that da chuan is leaving also partly because we have failed to make him feel a part of s60. hence, there exists the mentality that some people deserves to stay in the class more than the others. and he probably thinks that he has the least right to stay.
Are we not screwed up in this sense?
within the class there are many cliques. and one clique is not necessarily close to the other. the 'sense of cohesion' we have conjured up is only because we feel the need to continue a s60 legacy - one of astonishing bonding and interaction our seniors has forged. i am not saying that everyone is like this. but maybe if you ever thought of ostracizing others just because you find them not pleasing to your sight, maybe something is wrong. i just feel that no matter what sort of first impression others have on you, they deserve a chance. and just because you have friends behind you, or because you think you are popular and loud doesn't mean you can drown out the others.

feels odd to know billy isn't going to be around anymore. =X but billy, no matter what you do or where you go, you know we wish you the best =)( ok that sounds like you are migrating to Brazil or something)
for econs right..i'm not too sure either what we are supposed to do about tutorial 11. i think we just have to jot down some points for the questions there. and pray that the lecture test isn't tomorrow.

hello SixOh! The STJ was really nice! Haha, THANKS Pau-pau The Camerawoman, for the very interesting and efficiently-uploaded photos! (you posted it in the morning!!! so zai! I normally take 1 hr at least uploading photos and writing the captions haha) :) Yeah! The pictures with Haining-Yuzhong and Pauline-Yangsai smooching are the most interesting! The IRONY of it -- "smooching" right after a Sex Ed talk on ABSTINENCE! The facilitator will be very sad if he knows about it, wahahaha.
